Project Portfolio SW Portland Restoration
This 1902 Colonial Revival, by architect A.E. Doyle, was lovingly renovated in 2002 and is listed as a historic home. While much of the house was in reasonable condition and simply needed cleaning and refurbishing, the kitchen and exterior did require further effort. A previous kitchen remodel during the 1970s had left the space with cheap laminates, avocado colored appliances and indoor/outdoor carpet. The exterior of the home had glassed in porches and a slap dash portico extension from the 1920s. Thoughtful paint colors, a restoration of the original portico dimensions and details along with reopening of the porches restored the original character and beauty to the home's exterior.
